Adelaide:

A three-way deal delivering Stefan Martin, Ben Jacobs and Cameron Pedersen to their clubs of choice has been stalled by Brisbane’s cold feet and Melbourne’s meagre compensation selection.

Noel Ascot Blackburn, the Carlton Football Club’s former Honorary Treasurer and Finance Committeeman through the mid-1970s and early 80s, died in Portland last Sunday at the age of 84.

Collingwood:
The Magpies have reached over to Visy Park and recruited Jordan Russell from Carlton for pick 71 in this year’s draft.

Essendon:
The Bombers will have the chance to repay the people of Wangaratta after being drawn by the AFL yesterday to play Richmond in the city next year.

Fremantle:
Rumours are circulating out of Fremantle that the Dockers may part with contracted forward Jack Anthony.

Gold Coast:
Just one day after he met with club officials to discuss his place in Ross Lyon’s side, Fremantle defender Greg Broughton has been traded to the Gold Coast Suns.

Greater Western Sydney:
Albury council says it is not surprised Lavington Oval has lost its NAB Cup game featuring the GWS Giants to Wagga.

Hawthorn:
The 2013 season is still five months away, but one punter has already splurged $21,900 in premiership bets but has ignored $3.50 favourite Hawks.

Melbourne:
The Demons have continued what has been an active trade period for them with a deal today that will see Port Adelaide midfielder David Rodan join the club.

North Melbourne:
Roos fringe forward Aaron Edwards is on the verge of joining Richmond, as the AFL trade period enters its final 24 hours.

Port Adelaide:
The club has snared forgotten Eagles defender Lewis Stevenson in a three way deal that provided David Rodan a new home at Melbourne today.

Richmond:
Ruckman Tom Derickx appears likely to stay at Tigerland, with talks continuing this week about a renewed contract.

St Kilda:
West Coast is refusing to budge on St Kilda’s offer of Jamie Cripps and pick 25 for key defender Mitch Brown.

Sydney Swans:
An investigation centering on Kurt Tippett dominated another slow day of trading on Wednesday, but there is still a chance the 25-year-old Crow will join the Sydney Swans by Friday’s 2pm deadline.

West Coast:
Could the Eagles be making a late move  for Melbourne’s Cale Morton?

Western Bulldogs:
The Bulldogs have today added another young player to their squad ahead of the November 22 AFL Draft, sending pick 71 to Collingwood in exchange for defender/utility Tom Young.
